The Jacket Installation operations in the gas/oil field of Hengam, shared by both Iran and Oman was carried out by the noble efforts of DOT Co. expert professionals and accomplished on June 24th 2009.

The Deep Offshore Technology (DOT) public relations spokesperson announced that the installation operations for the 1100 Ton, four-legged Jacket (HD1), was carried out using the Lifting-Upending Method and was completed on June 24th 2009.  The jacket was intended to be installed close to a well bore 35 kilometers south of Qeshm and where it was ultimately installed by DOT expert professionals in less than 3 weeks.

The installation operations of this project consisted of Lifting, Floating and Installing the jacket by means of the HL 5000 crane barge. The next stages consisted of pile driving and installing the Temporary Drilling Access Deck (TDAD) and the jacket ancillaries.

Considering the installation of the Hengam jacket and the recent installation of the Hengam pipeline- also carried out by DOT- using the PLB 132 pipe laying barge, this field will be soon ready and operational after completing the supplementary activities.

It is also worth mentioning that while DOT Co. worked as the transportation and Installation contractor, TASDID Co. was the jacket fabrication contractor and the IOOC (Iranian Offshore Oil Company) was the main client of the project.
