Early morning on the 3rd of August 2009, DOT Co. carried out the final installation of the remaining Ancillaries for Phase 8 of the South Pars Gas Field Development project.

According to the report by the public relations office of Deep Offshore Technology Company (DOT), the Phase 8 wellhead platform (topside) had been earlier installed on its four-legged jacket by DOT, with the help of HL 5000, a Heavy Lift barge owned by the company.

The entire installation operations of this phase, consisting of installation of the flare tower, connection bridges and the their tripod supports, all of which are expected to be complete in approximately 45 days, will conclude the phase 8 of South Pars Gas Field Development project and it will thereby be ready for Hook-up and commissioning.

It is worth mentioning that aside from the Phase 8 Ancillaries, Phases 6 and 7 ancillaries were also installed using the HL 5000 Heavy Lift Barge.
